Aneeta’s Easter message

Dear Friends and Members,

As we approach Easter, it’s time to embrace new beginnings and the promise of hope and renewal. This holiday season is a time when families and friends come together to celebrate.

On behalf of the TNA team, I would like to extend our warmest wishes to all TNA members and wish you a happy Easter. We hope this season brings you joy, peace, and a renewed sense of hope. Let’s take a moment to reflect on the good times, cherish the present, and look forward to a brighter future.

However, we do understand that some TNA members may be experiencing continual pain making it difficult to celebrate. We acknowledge that this can be especially challenging if you are alone or feeling isolated. Therefore, we want you to know that you don’t have to face this alone. Support is available to help you, provide emotional support, and give you hope for the future.

As a show of our support, we offer our TNA helpline to any member who is in need of support or friendship during Easter. You can call our freephone number at 0800 999 1899. Our team of dedicated volunteers are here to provide you with the care and support you need during this time. Whether you need someone to talk to or to seek advice, we are here to help.  Remember that you are not alone.  The TNA community is here to support you.

If you are able, join us in helping others.  At TNA, we believe that no one should have to suffer alone. With your help, we shall be able to continue to provide support and care to those who need it the most. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a significant impact on someone’s life. Your contribution can help us to fund vital research, provide essential resources and offer emotional support to those who are struggling with pain and distress. If you would like to join us in making a difference, please visit our website or contact us directly to learn more about how you can support TNA. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of others.

I hope that this Easter holiday brings you joy, peace, and hope. We wish you all a very Happy Easter.

With Best Wishes

Aneeta

Half Marathons

Are any of your friends or family members planning to run a half marathon this year?

We are currently organizing fundraising packs for runners, and we would appreciate it if you could let us know of any items that would be helpful, so we can create the perfect pack to support them on their journey.

Last year, Boo Latham ran the Manchester Half Marathon and raised a remarkable amount of money for TNA. Congratulations, Boo! She completed the race in an official time of 1:58:58 and raised a total of £825 for TNA through JustGiving.

We have attached a photo of Boo and her father, Paul Latham, who was first diagnosed in 2013

12 month challenge

Would you or your family be interested in taking on a 12-month challenge?

This is another fun fundraising idea. Charlotte Pugh and her sisters have been organizing a series of challenges for their father, who was diagnosed with TN. He was unable to work, drive, eat or drink, but his MVD surgery was a success. Now, the four sisters are planning to complete 12 challenges – one per month – to raise funds for TNA. They have already raised a staggering £2885 with gift aid, and we would love to help them surpass their £3k target. Please find attached the link to their fundraising page if you would like to read their story and contribute to their cause

Tea for TNA

‘Tea for TNA’ which involves hosting a tea party for your friends, family, neighbours, or colleagues as an opportunity to come together, raise awareness about Trigeminal Neuralgia, and promote a better understanding of the excruciating and relentless pain that many people with TN experience. This is also an excellent way to raise much-needed funds for the association.

Cakes for the Coronation of King Charles III

Are you considering celebrating the upcoming Coronation on May 6th? Why not host a ‘Tea for TNA’ party and include some delicious cakes for the Coronation This is a wonderful opportunity to gather with friends, family, and neighbours to commemorate this historic event and to raise funds for TNA.

If you are interested in taking part in this initiative, please let us know. We can send you a pack that includes a tablecloth, paper plates, cups, straws, napkins, bunting, and balloons – everything you need to make your event run smoothly. It may be possible that some of your Regional Support Leads are already planning to hold their ‘Tea for TNA’ events. As soon as we hear about these events, we will inform you.
